While looking for a web designer to work with you've probably looked at tons of portfolios. You also probably find yourself wishing most designers would just get to the meat of it. Finding a web or blog designer is never a simple or easy task.
Hopefully these featured projects will be the catalyst for you to contact me or view more pieces in my portfolio. Plus it may provide some peace of mind that Pop Stalin Design is capable of handling your project needs.
I consider myself a specialist in web design and CSS/XHTML coding as well as installing and creating custom themes for the WordPress blogging platform. I can do other stuff too, you just have to ask… I've been told I'm pretty approachable.
CSS and XHTML coding are the nuts and bolts of a web site, the glue that holds it all together. I code with Web Standards in mind and believe that a well-coded page is better for the client in the long run. Though I consider myself a designer first, I'm well-versed as a coder. That just means you get a site that's pretty and well-coded.
It's fairly simple; we talk, depending on the size of the project I may create a wireframe, once that's approved, I create some concept designs and when those are approved, I code the site. Somewhere in there contracts are signed and payments are made. Read more about My Design Approach.
You're busy, I'm busy, heck the whole world is busy. To save time and money I ask all my clients to visit and fill out my ‘Request a Quote’ form because successful design is in the details. I hear the devil is in there too but we'll ignore him for the time being—no need to invite trouble.

Hi, I'm Jen Huls & I'm a web designer & CSS/XHTML programmer. I also happen to own this small shop with the funny name. In my early years I held way too many factory & retail jobs to count. I finally found my calling one Christmas holiday in a dark, musty basement with a green floor. Since then, I've become a CSS & XHTML web standards looney & can be found daily—when I'm not at my Mac—at the local fair-trade coffee shop buying an iced-soy mocha no matter the weather.
Everything I create is done on an Apple Powerbook 17in laptop and I use a Gateway laptop for PC cross-platform testing. The stable of products I use are all from Adobe with the exception of a little known text editor called Smultron. Three other essential tools that go into all of my work are iced-coffee, Pepsi® and my iPod.
