In view of the current riots, pan India targeting minorities, we at ‘Social Initiative for Peace’ (SIP) comprising Ex-AICUFers apart from other active members, felt that a massive awareness and activity campaign uniting all likeminded people is imperative to pledge solidarity and condemn such brutal acts disrupting communal harmony.

To this effect we propose to organise a Chennai Wide Mega Blood Donation Camp titled, "We Offer What You Are After – Our Blood (for your Life)" which apart from being open to all Christian bodies, will also cover all those in favour of communal harmony – the need of the hour.

As a first move the heads of the largely effected minority section, His Holiness, Rt. Rev. Dr. Chinnappa, SDB, Archbishop of Chennai Mylapore, His Holiness Rt. Rev. Dr. V. Devasahayam, CSI Bishop, Fr. K. Amal S.J., RECTOR Loyola College and Rev.Fr. Joe Andrew, Vice Provincial Salesian province of Chennai with all its schools, colleges and institutes, has vowed all possible participation and support. The organizing committee members are busy inviting all other religious, political, social organizations, celebrities and public personalities.

Gathering 12,000 women under one banner in one single day is not an easy thing. I am thankful to Colorz Entertainment Pvt Ltd our Event Managers for helping us with organizing International Women’s Day 2008 celebration for our clients.
